正月初（chū）五，也叫“破五”，是我（wǒ）國的傳統節日，在這一天（tiān）有很多講（jiǎng）究和習（xí）俗，在《歲時瑣事》中記載說：“欲有所作為，必過此五日，始行之”，意思就是在春節期間有很多規矩和講究，不能亂說話（huà），不能說不吉利的話，過了初五之後人們不必有這些忌諱。
“破五”這一天，人們最在意的一件事情就是（shì）“送窮迎財”，即智窮、學窮、文窮、命窮（qióng）、交窮，民間把這五窮稱之為五窮鬼，大家會用不同的習（xí）俗將這五窮送走，比如在（zài）陝西韓城（chéng）一帶，大家（jiā）會炒麻豆（dòu），將豆子炒到劈裏啪啦作響，意思就時把壞的運氣“崩走”。當然除了送窮之外，這（zhè）5件事，破五一定不要忘。
一、迎財神
據說正月初五是財神的生（shēng）日（rì），從這（zhè）一天淩晨開始，人們就開始相繼迎財神，普通人家會給財神供上（shàng）水果，麵條或者餃子，在燒香求拜，燃放鞭炮以此求得財運，而且給財神貢過（guò）的吃食，再讓（ràng）家裏人吃，來年財運一定會旺。
財神即五路神。所謂五路，指（zhǐ）東西南北中，意為出門五路，皆可得財（cái）。除了（le）五路神之外，還有武財神，文（wén）財神等說法，但無論拜哪（nǎ）個財神，隻要心（xīn）誠（chéng），皆能帶來財運。
二、吃餃子
俗話（huà）說“好吃不（bú）如餃子”，在中國大大小小的節日裏，都離不（bú）開吃餃（jiǎo）子，除了美味（wèi）之外，它已經是中華美食重要（yào）的組成部分。從（cóng）初一到初五禁忌（jì）比較多，所以到了破五吃餃子（zǐ），表示慶賀不在有禁忌了。另外還有人“包餃（jiǎo）子，捏住小人嘴（zuǐ）”的說法，意思（sī）就是（shì）來年小人少說壞話。
三、打掃房（fáng）子
從除夕開始（shǐ）到正月初四，通（tōng）常是不會打掃房子的，尤（yóu）其是（shì）掃（sǎo）地，老一輩人認為會（huì）把財運掃走（zǒu），而（ér）到了破五這一天，就要由內到外把垃（lā）圾掃成一個堆，然後放上鞭炮，點然後劈裏啪啦，這樣不好的運氣都會一掃而光，剩下的便是財氣和福氣。
四（sì）、放（fàng）鞭炮
正月初五這一（yī）天，家家戶戶都會燃放（fàng）鞭炮，而且鞭炮越響（xiǎng）越長，寓意就越好，代表著（zhe）把（bǎ）窮（qióng）運（yùn），以及各種（zhǒng）不吉利都能轟去，有人（rén）還會燃放二踢腳，也叫（jiào）“崩窮”，把晦氣和窮氣統統都崩掉。有些商（shāng）戶在初五這一天也會正式（shì）營（yíng）業，放（fàng）一串鞭炮（pào），寓意今天財源（yuán）滾滾。
